Often referred to as Laser Genesis, the Nd:YAG Photo Facial is a light based treatment which can be used to address a number of skin concerns, including rosacea and rosy cheeks, acne, enlarged pores, excessive oil, uneven skin tone an texture, and fine lines.
During treatment, the laser handpiece is held above the skin where it emits lightwaves which are absorbed into the dermal layer of the skin to produce heat. This thermal response triggers your skin to kickstart a healing cascade, which includes the production of new collagen and elastin.
Laser genesis is completely comfortable and even relaxing! This treatment works by gently warming the deepest layers of the skin, and feels like laying out in the summer sun.
Laser Genesis has zero downtime, making it a no-brainer choice for skin health! Immediately after your treatment, you may notice a slight flush and warmth to the skin that may last up to 30 minutes. This rosy flush will be no more intense than if you went for a run, or did a moderate cardio workout.
Number of treatments you require will vary based on a number of factors, however in most cases we recommend a series of 4 treatments to start, spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart for best results. Laser Genesis is a treatment that can be done in place of your monthly facial if you’re looking for something that offers more results.
In many cases, results can be seen in as little as one session, however for deeper correction and long lasting results, 4-6 sessions are recommended alongside proper maintenance against sun exposure and other environmental factors. With a series of Nd:YAG Photo Facial treatments you can expect to have smoother, firmer, brighter and more even skin tone and texture.
The thermal response created by the light works from the bottom up to gently soften fine lines and wrinkles, shrink pores, stop the overproduction of oil, decrease redness, refines skin texture and eliminates blemishes.
Unlike many other laser facials, Nd:YAG Photo Facial is completely painless, and actually quite relaxing. Many patients liken the sensation to laying in the summer sun. It is a gentle and gradual heating of the skin.
